Contract customers have at least one lesson per week. The continuous contract is valid until further notice.
Five or ten lesson courses, and the length of a lesson varies from half an hour to one and a half hours.
The continuous contract is valid until further notice, but will run for a minimum of six months (excluding holidays). The contract will be confirmed in writing.
The Contract can be terminated after six months at any time. The notice period is one month. Customers will be billed for lessons until a month after the notice is given.
Contract customers have at least one lesson per week, which means that the invoice will always be for at least four lessons per month (some months there will be five lessons, depending on the calendar).
Lessons are held at an agreed time each week, but they can be moved as needed, with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. You can take more than one lesson a week if preferred.
An invoice is sent to Contract customers at the end of the month.
I offer five or ten lesson courses, and the length of a lesson varies from half an hour to one and a half hours. Lessons are held at an agreed time each week, but they can be moved with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. You can take more than one lesson a week if preferred.
Summer and Christmas holidays do not count towards the validity period of the courses.
The 5-lesson courses are invoiced after the second lesson.
The 10-lesson courses are invoiced in two instalments: after the second lesson and halfway through the course.
These 10-lesson courses are for those who want the opportunity to study at a more relaxed pace than in the intensive courses.
The courses are otherwise like the intensive courses, but they have a longer validity period. They are valid for a year starting from the first lesson.
Courses are valid for a year from the first lesson, during which all the lessons must be used.
These courses are invoiced in one instalment after the second lesson.
Single lessons are not part of a course.
Single lessons are effective for studying a specific topic, such as preparing for a job interview or a presentation or revising a specific grammar topic.
Single lessons will be invoiced as soon as the lesson has been held.
I offer children and teenagers (up to 9th graders, including home-schooled students) a discount on teaching.
Children and teenagers can also choose whether they want to study every week or every other week.
Group lessons with more than one child/teenager can be arranged with students dividing the price of the sessions between them.
Both parties undertake to comply with the agreed lesson times.
The customer may contact the supplier and agree on changing the lesson time a minimum of 24 hours before the agreed lesson. The changed lesson must be scheduled for the same or the following week.
If the customer notifies the supplier late or not at all, the supplier has the right to charge for the lesson as if it had been held.
In case of illness, you can cancel later, as long as the cancellation is made before the beginning of the lesson.
If the client is late to the lesson, the lesson starts upon the student’s arrival, but terminates according to the pre-agreed schedule. If the student needs to finish the lesson earlier than previously agreed, the lesson will still be invoiced according to the pre-agreed teaching time.
If a textbook is used in teaching, the student is expected to buy it himself/herself. Other material is available from the teacher. Paper copies will be charged €0.50 (+VAT 25.5%) / A4.
Lesson planning and preparation work is included in the price of the course or lesson.
Other work completed outside of the lesson (e.g. correction of assignments or essays) is invoiced according to the price list at a per-minute rate according to the price of the course. This time is specified in the invoice. Such additional work is discussed and agreed with the student on a case-by-case basis.
If the lesson is held at a location other than the Supplier’s premises at Rinnekuja 11, Pirkkala, Finland, the Supplier will charge for the round trip to the agreed teaching location in accordance with the Finnish kilometre compensation in force at the time (travel method: car).
My working hours are Mon-Fri 8.00-16.30. Lessons outside of these hours can be agreed on case-by-case basis and will be subject to increased course/lesson fees. An extra 20% will be added to fees for lessons on weekday evenings, rising to 50% for lessons during weekends and holidays.
No lessons will be available for 1-2 weeks in December and 4 weeks in July. If lessons are unable to proceed at other times due to unforeseen circumstances, I will inform the student of the absence in good time.
The invoice will be sent as a PDF file via email.

Flexible schedule courses are valid for 12 months from the date of the first lesson.
You can reschedule a lesson as long as you inform the teacher at least 24 hours before the lesson starts. The rescheduled lesson must be used either during the same week or the following week. If the student informs the teacher too late or not at all, the teacher has the right to charge for the lesson as if it had taken place. In case of illness, cancellations can be made later, as long as they are made before the scheduled lesson begins.
If you arrive late, the lesson will start when you get there, but it will still end at the originally scheduled time. If you need to leave early, the lesson will still be charged according to the full, scheduled duration.
That’s usually possible. Get in touch with me, and I will look at the available options.
